About the Activities at Copeland Oaks

We provide a wide range of recreational, social, spiritual and educational activities designed to support a healthy, gratifying lifestyle for residents of the Copeland Oaks retirement community. There are more than 75 resident-led activities that appeal to nearly every interest. These activities fall into three main categories:

Promoting Wellness

Our aquatics and fitness center is home to wellness classes and recreational programs, including personal training and aerobics. In our Buckeye Aerobics Studio we also provide many wellness classes including Zumba, chair exercises, and line dancing! With nature trails, a bass-fishing lake, fishing pier, pickle ball court and putting green, our residents have access to plenty of activities on our 250-acre campus to keep them active and involved. In addition, there’s an abundance of shopping just minutes away, as well as a free lifetime membership and golf for residents at the nearby Berlin Lake Golf Club.

Enabling Fun & Creativity

Fun-filled travel opportunities and special events are regularly scheduled for residents seeking new sites and experiences. At the University of Mount Union, residents enjoy attending concerts, lectures, theater and sporting events. On-campus activities include ice cream socials, live entertainment, holiday celebrations and more! Copeland Oaks also provides residents with a library, woodworking shop, community garden area and Creativity Center – which is home to classes for painting, drawing, handcrafts, needlework, photography, jewelry making and beyond. The Copeland Chorale is also a popular choice among our residents.

Strengthening Minds

We believe in promoting opportunities for lifetime learning at Copeland Oaks. Copeland Oaks residents can attend any class at Mount Union for free! From games and activities designed to benefit our memory care residents, to activities that help us all stay sharp during our retirement years, Copeland Oaks has many activities to offer. In addition to Bible studies groups, we also offer worship and spiritual fellowship services in our chapel, and residents may choose to attend one of the many churches in the local area.
