This simple recipe from Renee’s Kitchen starts with a boxed cake mix that is transformed into a beautiful, moist cake bursting with strawberry flavor!


  • 1 – 16oz boxed white cake mix
  • 3 tbsp. all purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. canola oil or vegetable oil
  • 1 – 4 serving package of sugar free or regular strawberry flavored gelatin
  • 3/4 c. strawberries, chopped. Use fresh, or frozen (partially thawed)
Ingredients for the Glaze
  • 1/4 c. unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 tbsp. cup milk (can add more as needed to achieve desired consistency)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray non-stick surface 10 cup bundt pan with cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. In large bowl, combine all cake ingredients except strawberries and mix with electric mixer on low until combined, then on high for about 2 minutes.
  3. Fold in strawberries into cake mixture.
  4. Pour cake mixture into prepared bundt pan and smooth the surface.
  5. Bake for 40 – 45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 – 15 minutes, then invert onto serving plate and cool completely.
  6. While cake is cooling, make the glaze by combining the butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and milk. Adjust the amount of milk to get the consistency you desire for the glaze.
  7. Once cake is completely cooled, pour the glaze over the top. Allow glaze to set before serving.
