Seniors Who Love Staying Active
Or if the weather isn’t permitting for outdoor activities, our residents also have access to Copeland Oaks’ Lakeshore Activity Center and Beeghly Complex. This activity center is where exercise classes and recreational programs are hosted – residents can stop by for a class or use the facilities in their own time. Our on-site wellness center, aquatic center with indoor pool, and fitness room help keep our residents healthy.
Looking to stay socially active, too? Residents also have convenient access to our creativity center, computer room, game and pool room, woodworking shop, giftshop, thrift shop and chapel for worship and spiritual fellowship. Plus, musical concerts, live entertainment and more events are a great way to stay socially engaged on our campus. No matter what your interests are, Copeland Oaks has something to help all our residents stay active during their retirement years!
Seniors with Short and Long-Term Health Needs
For seniors with health needs who want to maintain as much of their independence as possible, but are not yet ready for full-time care or Assisted Living, our Catered Living is a great option halfway between Independent Living and Assisted Living. Catered Living in our Beeghly Apartments allows residents to live independently with some assistance. Or if your loved one does require assistance with day-to-day activities, our Assisted Living Apartments offer residents help with hygiene needs, meals, medication management, and transportation. Onsite Crandall Medical Center also serves as a 190-bed rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility.
At Copeland Oaks, all residents regardless of their health needs have the comfort and ease of scheduled visits from physicians, including dental, optometry, podiatry, and audiology services. Our campus is home to an onsite dentist office, health clinic and physician offices to keep access convenient. Committed to our Continuum of Care, Copeland Oaks’ professionals helps ensure our residents are comfortable in every phase of adulthood. Seniors with Alzheimer’s and Dementia
Copeland Oaks is one of only a few memory care and senior retirement communities in Ohio to offer all-inclusive pricing, with a rate that includes a private room with accessible bathroom, 24/7 nursing staff, meals, housekeeping and daily therapeutic activity programming. Designed for residents in the early stages of Alzheimer’s Disease or dementia, our Assisted Living with Memory Care option provides a safe and secure environment ideal for individuals beginning to experience memory loss that makes day-to-day activities difficult or dangerous.
Our Donald R. James Assisted Living Memory Care Wing is located in the Assisted Living apartment complex on the Copeland Oaks campus. In a secure environment, residents are cared for by Certified Dementia Care Practitioners (CDPs) available all hours of the day and night. If your loved one’s Alzheimer’s or dementia progresses, also have peace of mind knowing they can stay in a familiar place and still get the care they need. For residents who are beginning to experience more severe symptoms of memory loss, our Crandall Medical Center on Copeland Oaks’ campus allows for a smooth transition to a place where they can receive temporary or long-term care.
Couples Who Want to Stay Together
In addition to our villas and independent living apartments which are comfortable options for couples, Copeland Oaks senior living community also has assisted living apartments and a memory care wing with opportunities for seniors who want to stay together. Couples rooms and specialized services are available so spouses can continue living together. If only one partner requires skilled nursing services, the couple only has to pay for the services they need which helps save money. In addition to keeping couples together while each partner receives the individualized care they need, our senior living community also knows how important our four-legged family members are, too.
