Memory Care

When a loved one is experiencing beginning or middle-stage dementia or Alzheimer’s and a loved one or caregiver feels like they are no longer safe at home, but cannot offer the memory care and assistance they need, they can find peace of mind at Copeland Oaks. You can never be replaced, but you can find quality memory care for patients diagnosed with dementia or Alzheimer’s that will relieve your concerns in our Donald R. James Assisted Living Memory Care Wing.

Donald R. James Assisted Living Memory Care Wing

Copeland Oak’s Memory Care Wing offers residents as-needed memory care assistance from on-site Certified Dementia Care Practitioners (CDPs) and skilled nursing care in a facility that provides safety, security and independence. Residents also enjoy regularly planned activities and monitored access to the many amenities on Copeland Oak’s vibrant campus that allow them to maintain a great quality of life.

Memory Care Assistance Residents Need

Our secured floor has an emergency call system and Certified Dementia Care Practitioners, on-staff 24/7, who understand the needs of dementia and Alzheimer’s patients. They are able to provide the as-needed, specialized memory care assistance required now, and are experienced with helping residents to continue to live with dignity no matter what lies ahead.

Living Options for Memory Care

Each climate-controlled unit’s living room helps to make it feel like home and can be decorated in a style that reflects residents’ taste and personality. The spacious bedroom gives residents the night’s rest they need. Special suites accommodate spouses who can continue to enjoy life together with assisted living care every day. Each unit is equipped with a walk-in shower that accommodates walkers, wheelchairs, and residents with limited mobility, giving easy access for daily hygiene and removing obstacles that often lead to accidents.

Three daily meals are served in the wing’s communal kitchen – including requests for special dietary needs. The goal of the 19 studio and one-bedroom suites in our Donald R. James Assisted Living Memory Care Wing is to help residents live as independently as possible while assuring their loved ones they are well taken care of.
