Marilyn used to have a bed and breakfast and would make this delicious homemade granola for her guests!

 

Ingredients:

  • 5 C. oatmeal
  • 2 C. W.W flour
  • ½ C. cornmeal
  • ¼ C. soy flour
  • 2 C. coconut
  • ½ C. wheat germ
  • 1 Tsp. salt
  • ½ C. brown sugar
  • ½ C. sesame seeds
  • 1 C. sunflower seeds
  • 1 C. chopped walnuts
  • 1 C. chopped cashews
  • ½ C. oil
  • ¼ C. honey
  • 1 C. water

Directions:

  1. Mix all dry ingredients first, then combine with liquid ingredients.
  2. Mix combination with hands and put on cookie sheets or shallow pans in many batches.
  3. Bake at 200-225° F for 2-3 hours or until lightly browned.
  4. Add (your choice of combinations) raisins, chopped dried apricots, apples or currents.
  5. Seal and refrigerate or freeze to keep indefinitely.
